Aero offers the following products:

Point to Point Systems

Aero offers three different point to point systems. Two terminals are connected together with tubing and bends of a desired tube size to provide service between two locations at a rapid speed (25 F.P.S. avg.).

Vacuum Pressure Systems

Vacuum pressure systems offer controlled carrier travel in both directions between two locations, through a single tube with a remote blower unit and control panel located remotely. This is ideal for medium traffic situations, heavy loads and situations where system status is important. The control panel contains a Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) to manage the system. All terminals have a send button, in-use light, arrival light and system reset feature.

Pressure - Pressure Systems

This is the most economical of our systems. It provides two way travel through a single tube between two terminals. Each terminal has a blower package, either built-in or closely remote, allowing the carrier to be blown to the other terminal. This system is used primarily where traffic is low and contents are light, such as tickets, documents, etc.

It is available in 2.25", 3", 4", 6" and 4"x7" in galvanized steel transmission tubing, which is recommended for fire rated environments and outside applications. P.V.C. plastic tubing is available in 3", 4" and 6" sizes, and is ideal for low traffic systems in non-fire rated areas.

Twin Tube Vacuum Systems

Twin tube vacuum systems are used in smaller sizes or when carrier traffic is extremely heavy between stations.

Automatic Systems

Semi-Automatic System (Single Zone System)

This system is popular in Health Care and Industrial applications. The main or master station has the capability of sending direct to any number of sub-stations on one tube line. The sub-stations can return carriers to the master station; thus dedicated to a single location.

Automatic System (Single Zone System)

The automatic system looks very much the same schematically as the semi-automatic, yet it allows all stations on the system to send and receive from one-another. If decided, certain stations can be programmed for priority sending, while others can be programmed to exclude certain stations.

Multi-Zone Automatic

These systems are able to accomodate a large number of stations by employing the use of a Central Exchange system. The Exchanger or Transfer Unit divides the stations into Zones, usually with a maximum of ten stations per zone, and allows carriers to pass from one zone into another. New systems of this type are usually 6" and can have many stations interconnected. They are most often used in large hospitals.

Aero Diverters: Innovative State-of-the-Art Design

Our Diverters are Air Operated, Low-Voltage controlled (no AC power required, a major cost savings). Aero Diverters have Accurate positioning to within 0.001 of an inch. No adjustments necessary. Diverter bodies are of an open access design, with non-contact position indicating switches, with a travel time of less than two seconds from any position to any position. Electrically Operated diverters are available when desired. (We do not use the common mechanical type assembly which is made up of greasy gears, bicycle chains and micro switch positioning.)

Large Package Systems - "Zero" Impact Delivery

Large package systems provide service between two locations where heavy payloads require "ZERO" impact upon delivery. The principal of vacuum pressure (V.P.) down-delivery, using a slide sleeve terminal accomplishes this requirement with unbelievably quiet results.

The carriers are custom designed to meet the system requirements. The maximum inside length is 22". The inside diameter depnds on the system size. It is usually 6", 8", or 10" o.d. steel tube.

Additions & Upgrades

System Additions

Carrier Directed systems such as "BRUSH" and "MAG" can be altered or added to with stations, switches, brush blocks or coils, to operate the same as the original equipment supplied.

Station Directed systems such as Lamson, Amsco, Powers and Airmatic can also be altered or expanded with stations, switches, diverters, enlarging monitors and control panels to operate in the same manner as the original equipment supplied.

Conventional systems (single or twin tube) can be converted to semi-automatic or automatic systems, allowing as many as ten stations to be served from one conventional circuit.

System Updgrades

Central Exchangers often need expanding or upgrading due to wear or lack of speed. The Linear Exchanger has proven to be the current state of the art for new as well as existing systems.

Relay Control Panels require maintenance which often is not done properly, if at all. Many customers upgrade with Programmable Logic Controllers (P.L.C.) to streamline their systems.

Stations can also be updgraded by adding controlled dispatch, thus controlling the number of carriers allowed into the system at any one time.

Carrier Directed systems can be changed to PLC-controlled systems. Also available are up-grades to PC based systems providing the ability to use a conventional carrier that can be obtained anywhere at a much lower cost.
